“China had 693,300 urban public buses and trams (equivalent to 791,500 standard units), of which 409,700 were new energy vehicles (including pure electric and hybrid power) by end-2019.”
“In 2019, China sold a total of 190,862 buses with a length of 5m, a decrease of 11.08% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of new energy buses were 85,413 units, a year-on-year decrease of 14. 3%, and the sales of traditional buses were 105,449, a year-on-year decrease of 8.29%. China exported 40,973 buses & coaches throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 27.13%.”
“The proportion of tourist buses has increased significantly, and the proportion of line buses has continued to shrink; in addition, the sales of new energy highway buses have increased and have gradually gained market recognition”
“After two consecutive years of negative growth in China's passenger car export sales in 2016 and 2017, export sales in 2018 and 2019 bucked the trend, which strongly promoted the structural adjustment of the passenger car market. In 2019, China exported 40,973 various types of buses, with a sales revenue of 14.5 billion yuan, an increase of 27.13% and 18.39% respectively compared with 2018. Exports of road buses in 2019 increased by 1.21% year-on-year, public buses -52.76%, school buses-480%, and other buses increased by 45.43% year-on-year.”
